One explanation is that in most Asian faiths, father devotion and filial religiosity are remarkably valued. Parents expect their kids to carry on the community title, serve their in- laws and respect and honor their seniors, including relatives. Children are taught to been pleasant and silent, nervous and deferential. Emotional outbursts are discouraged, and toddlers who fail to meet their relatives’ objectives are shamed ( also known as “losing face” ). Parents are rarely upcoming with empathy or compliment because of the fear that they will promote laziness.
In addition, extended individuals are frequent in Eastern neighborhoods and two or three generations does live under the same roof. In many of these individuals, the papa is head of household and main decisions are made by him.
